Emerging/Priority Topics 2

In this session, two important issues will be discussed in a panel-discussion format. All selected issues will have relevance to both the CGIAR and the broader geospatial community. Discussion leaders will provide background and invite discussants with knowledge and experience to challenge the community.

1. Agricultural Investment Mapping (Bhramar)
Updates from several agricultural investment and research mapping initiatives - their status, challenges, and roadmap - and elicit feedback from the geospatial community on how best we can source the data in a standard, sustainable way.

2. Governance/Ethics of Open Geospatial Data (Rodrigo)
Discuss the consequences and ethics of open data with regard to potentially sensitive information (e.g. personal information of vulnerable populations).

Moderators
